School Uniform

 

Uniform Requirements

Following consultation with parents, the college does not now have a designated uniform supplier.  Provided uniform items meet our requirements most can be purchased anywhere.  Coats, blazers, badges, ties, summer polo shirts and the PE clothing can, however, be purchased from the college.

All clothing should be clearly named. 

Coats

Plain dark coloured topcoats without motifs or writing on them.  No denim, leather, suede jackets, tracksuit or hooded tops should be worn.  A navy blue reversible Frogmore coat is available to purchase/order from the PTA.  No outside wear; coats, scarves, gloves, hats etc may be worn in the building and peaked caps may not be worn to College.

Jewellery

One pair of small plain gold or silver studs and one watch.  Only one stud should be worn in the lobe of each ear.  All other jewellery is inappropriate for College-wear and must not be worn.

Shoes

Shoes should be plain black and suitable for College-wear.  This excludes platform, high heeled shoes, canvas type shoes, backless shoes or boots.  Trainers should not be worn.
    

Blazer

Plain navy blue with College badge.  Badges can be purchased from the College reception.

Trousers

These should be plain mid/dark grey, not black, smart and tailored in a material appropriate for College-wear.  This means that stretch jersey, lightweight cotton or fashion trousers are not acceptable.  Girls are permitted to wear trousers – but the above requirements apply.
 

Skirts

These should be plain mid/dark grey, not black, and knee-length.
 

Shirt

Plain white with a plain collar The top button must be fastened.
 

Tie

College tie in ‘House’ colours; correctly tied.  This can be purchased from the College reception.
 

Jumper/Cardigan

 

Optional college jumper with the school badge and house name will be the only jumper permitted for Year 7 students.  To be worn underneath the blazer but not instead of, if required.

Students in Year 8 and above are permitted to wear a plain navy blue long sleeved, v necked jumper (no crew or round necked) 

Polo Shirt

These are worn as summer uniform through the summer term only. The new blue shirts with the college logo and house name can only be purchased from the PTA – order forms for these are available from College reception.  Only blazers may be worn over the top of the polo shirts if the day is chilly.
 

Socks/tights

Plain black or white socks or flesh coloured tights.

Hairstyles 

It is impossible to have rules for every situation that might arise with regard to hair.  However, we do not allow “extremes” with hairstyles and the Headteacher (with the involvement of the Governing Body if necessary) will be the arbiter of what constitutes an extreme  .  No extreme crops, shaved patterns or extreme colours are permitted.  Again, as with uniform, the support of parents is very much appreciated.

Make Up

Neutral, discrete make up is permitted.  Heavy make up and nail polish is not permitted and will need to be removed.

Bags
Bags should be large enough to hold all school equipment, including an A4 file.  They should be waterproof and fastenable and preferably a plain, dark colour.  Heavy fashion branding is not permitted.

PE KIT

The PE uniform list applies to all students joining the College in September.
The PTA open the  Uniform Shop every Tuesday 8.30 - 9.15am near to the Community Office.  Alternatively, you can give a completed order form with payment to the School Reception and you will be notified when to collect your uniform.

Compulsory PE items

Students are only allowed to wear items that display the PE emblem.

All students are expected to purchase the following which are only available from the College:

Polo Shirts                Navy blue with sky coloured Frogmore PE emblem

Rugby Shirts             Navy blue with sky coloured reversible strip

Sports Shorts            Navy blue with sky coloured Frogmore PE emble

Sports Socks            Navy blue with sky coloured ‘turn over’ and Frogmore logo

Other essential items

         White Ankle Socks Small brand logos acceptable 
         Trainers Non-marking and suitable for activities (no skater trainers)

          Football Boots

 

 Regular players (boys) in the Year 7 football and rugby teams must have boots.  It is essential by Year 8 that they all have boots for their PE lessons.

Gum shields

Required for many curriculum and afterschool activities.

 Optional items:

Tracksuit           Navy blue with white edging—Frogmore PE logo.  There is the option to have rain trousers or soft trousers.  It is encouraged that students should have this for inclement weather and can be purchased as part of the kit package, or separate.

All clothing should be clearly named.

The Parents’ Association offer the opportunity to purchase used uniform.  Details are available from the College Reception.
