The Curriculum

At KS3 (Years 7 -9) our students follow a broad and balanced curriculum covering all subjects within the National Curriculum.

In Years 8 and 9 we have also introduced one period of Enrichment per fortnight; an opportunity for students to learn skills and follow passions for things that may not fall naturally into the ordinary curriculum.

At KS4 (Years 10 and 11) all students follow the core curriculum of GCSE English, Maths, Science and one Technology subject. They then have the opportunity to choose from an increasing range of options.

There are also opportunities for students in KS4 to participate in a range of courses and qualifications based at other colleges. For this year this includes Young Apprenticeships in Engineering and Vocational Level One courses in Hospitality and Catering, Hairdressing, Building Craft and Motor Vehicle.

We are working in close collaboration within the local 14 - 19 Partnership comprising of all the local secondary schools and Colleges to develop even more opportunities to ensure the most appropriate courses are available to  study at KS4.
